2016 Christmas Outfit: Velvet & Cold Shoulder Dress

Hello beauties! Merry Christmas! How was everyone's Christmas? Mine was pretty traditional with lots of food, laughter and thanksgiving for the most wonderful present one could ever get (I'm talking about baby Jesus here). As per our tradition (which I explained last year here), we began celebrating Christmas on the 24th and celebrations went right up until the early hours of the 25th; it was a lot of fun and loud as you can imagine! Just like previous years, we throw a big party at church on the 24th and apart from the food which is always beyond amazing and the precious time spent with friends and family, one of my favourite aspects of the whole thing is getting to dress up! Who doesn't love dressing up a little for Christmas?! After searching countless websites for THE dress of the season (for some reason, I was really picky this year and no dresses pleased me) I went back to the place I started looking at (good old Asos) and found a dress in my size and on sale! It was meant to be mine!

Winter 2016 Fashion Trends: Faux Fur Coat

What is winter without a bit of faux fur? Not only is this incredibly cosy trend super stylish, it also gets a furry friend stamp of approval (say no! to real fur garments). From our favourite fashion bloggers to the runways, this trend is everywhere come winter after all what's not to love. With all the different patterns and styles faux fur is hands down the trend to try if you haven't yet during the winter season. My favourite way to showcase a bit (I mean a lot) of faux fur is with outerwear and yes this coat has already made an appearance on this blog here and no the look is not particularly groundbreaking. But hey, that's the beauty of fashion blogging isn't it, "recycling" and wearing pieces again and again! Besides, when you find a combo that works well like all black and a bit of glam, you can blame me from wanting to wear it on repeat. Here's how I embraced this trend this year and the different accessories I chose for this look.

Skincare, Beauty & Home: My Latest Obsessions

Unlike last year when I wrote about My 2015 Beauty Favourites in December, I thought this year I'd talk about my actual December favourites instead. I'm not one for usually writing about my monthly favourites, mostly because gone is the day I actually tried new products every month. Through trial and error, I'd like to think I've found products that really work for my skin and I am happy with how they perform. Which is why, I've only included a few beauty bits but also have other non-beauty related items. Some were great finds I simply had to share with you all, so I hope you enjoy reading this!

Winter 2016 Fashion Trends: Metallic Skirt & Knee High Boots

Shine bright like a diamond; sorry I had to go there! Let's agree, metallic was one of the biggest trends for fall and this winter, it is not going anywhere. Anything that shines and sparkles is particularly hot at the minute given party season is officially upon us and what better time to experiment with pieces you wouldn't normally wear than right now. It seems like every single designer has sent his models down the runway in some sort of version of space-girls, form super refined and high fashion-minimal to more edgy grungy takes of this metallic new look. And to think we've got the 80s to thank for this metallic revival; everything is coming back but bigger than ever!

Red Lips: My Top 5 Picks For The Festive Season

Red can be a tough colour to wear, especially lipstick! If you're not careful enough one moment it's on your lips the next it's smeared all over your face, nose and chin. But, you will agree with me that there is not a more fitting time to wear red than at Chrismas time. Red may be the colour of energy and passion, but there is something about it that makes perfectly festive too. When it comes down to picking the right shade, the secret is to find one that works with your colouring, from skin undertones to hair and even eye colour. Blue-toned reds look more retro and cool whilst orange reds (which are not a big favourite of mine) look warmer and more modern. And of course, we cannot leave out the berry red shades which are just perfect for the winter. Whether you're a beauty pro or a make-up novice if you want to update your look for the festive season why not try a killer red lip? Here are my current top 5 red lipsticks!

Winter 2016 Fashion Trends: Leopard Print Coat & Western Boots

Am I glad to see Leopard Print back in the fashion scene! I've had this coat for as long as I can remember, and I've always been put a little off from wearing. The print is loud and the colours are on the bold side, however, it is so warm I was willing to look past all of that and take it out for a day in central London. How freaking cold and windy was this weekend!

Vietnamese Street Food Class @ The Jamie Oliver Cookery School

It's not every day you get invited to attend a cooking class, especially when it's at Jamie Oliver's brand new Cookery School. I've always wanted to attend a class of similar nature; I am getting married in April and despite not being the biggest cook, wouldn't hurt for me and the future hubby to pick a few skills. Jamie Oliver is a household name and we simply had to try the latest of his growing enterprise which is why, when I saw the invitation pop into my inbox I immediately accepted and off we went for a night of Vietnamese street food preparing.

Fall 2016 Fashion Trends: Lace-Up Sweater & OTK Boots

Whilst winter doesn't technically start until the 21st of December, it certainly feels like it is already here. I do not know about you, but waking up at 6am and looking out the window to see cars and ground completely covered in frost and ice only makes me want to head back to bed and stay there until a more humanly hour. When did London get this cold? At least there is no snow, which yes is pretty to look at but terrible to deal with, so I will cut my rant short.

It's Beginning To Smell A Lot Like Christmas: Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

What's better than spending a Sunday night pampering yourself with all sorts of nice smelly things?! And of course when I think of pampering and nice scents I, of course immediately think of Lush. I can't say I've tried much of Lush compared to some bloggers I know (yes Vicky, I am looking at you!), but everything I have tried has not been short than amazing. From their bath bombs to their lip scrub, if you've seen any of past Lush mentions here on the blog you will know I LOVE their sweet candy scented products. Which is why it made perfect sense for me to go for the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar from their Limited Edition Christmas range; not only does it look very cute and it smells fabulous, this was my first bubble bar ever and I was more than excited for bath time.

Fall 2016 Fashion Trends: Sweater Dress & Ring Bag

Knits, knits, knits! If you recall my oversized knit and pleated skirt outfit, you will already know how the trend was all over the runaway for fall 2016. And whilst it is not anything overly ground-breaking for autumn and winter, sweater dresses are gaining attention this season thanks to their 70's vibes. Think warm, cosy and trendy; head-to-toe knit looks are something we can rock in a heartbeat! The idea is that the upper half is covered in chunky knits or sweater dresses and the bottom half shows some serious sleek feet style. Sexy heels, over the knee boots or even leather leggings work well. Check out how I styled mine.

Only 5 Weeks Until Christmas: My Debenhams Christmas Wishlist

Christmas is on the fast approach and behold, Christmas related posts left, right and centre! First of all, #sorrynotsorry for dropping the C-word so early on this year. Second of all, less than 38 days till the most wonderful time of the year (and 143 days until my wedding but who's counting). The town is decorated, the Christmas lights are up and as you can tell I am very excited! Being the Christmas lover that I am and just like I did last year, I cannot wait to unleash some serious Christmassy related posts I have lined up for you all as the weeks come by. And on that thought, it is almost as if Debenhams read my mind when they invited me to join their Win Your Wishlist Blogger Competition; boy do I love a good competition especially when I could be shopping all items on my want list!

Need? No! Want? Yes! Winter Dresses Inspirations & Wishlist

For someone who has a wedding coming up, I sure shop a lot. I'm sure I've admitted here on the blog before that I have a little shopping problem and that my closet is incredibly full, but how can a girl resist so many awesome winter trends? It really does become very hard not to wishlist various things and even harder not to spend any money. My weakness every cold season has to be dresses and searching for winter dress outfit ideas on Pinterest led to the idea of this post (as well as a cheeky shopping order...oops).

Fall 2016 Fashion Trend: Metal Eyelets aka Grommets

Not everyone is fashion forward and that is totally ok. I like trends that other people don't (mostly referring to my mother here but ok) and some trends simply aren't for me, like the Gucci loafer shoes…anyone else thinks they're truly horrible? For example, a style that I particularly like for fall is edgy dressing; biker jackets, leather boots and metal details are amongst my favourite ways to accessorise an outfit. I know this style isn't for everyone but there is a trend around metal detailing that everyone can try this season as it instantly adds a cool touch to a getup. Read on to find out more!

My Every Day Winter Makeup Routine

Good morning and happy Monday beauties! Can we talk about how cold this weekend was? Even though winter has not yet started, it certainly feels like we are right in the middle of it. With dropping temperatures and icy winds, it's hard to want to leave the house at all, especially in the morning when it's dark out and all you want is 5 more minutes in bed. I love winter, I really do but getting up in the morning…not so much. This is why, the night before I will lay out my clothes and sort out my hair, keeping my morning routine as simple as possible as all I have to do is my make-up. In the morning, when I'm still half-asleep I do not want to overthink or overdo my makeup, I want products with a long-lasting finish, great coverage and a natural look. Ever since fall started I switched round my products and here are my go to winter makeup goodies I can bet on every day.

5 Ways To Ditch The Tights This Winter

It's undeniable, even though winter isn't officially here yet, temperatures have plummet and the last glimpse of unseasonably warm weather is long gone. It's time to get warm and cosy, layer up and brace the cold weather trying to look as stylish as possible. Let's agree though unless you're willing to go half of the year wearing trousers non-stop, skirts and dresses are sometimes out of the question unless you go for a really cosy legging or 200+ denier tights, right? Think twice! I've done my research and I've got the perfect ways to ditch the tights this season and not suffer from frostbite. Don't get me wrong, tights are a godsend, but sometimes you really need to flash some skin to perfect that outfit and here's how you can do so without freezing. You're welcome ;)

Goodbye October, Hello November: My October in Photos

Phew, what a busy month October was! Life has been pretty hectic lately with all the wedding preparations, endless birthday celebrations, guests visiting and collabs on the blog. But better busy than bored am I right?! If you follow me on Instagram (@pamella_scalfi) or kept up with my latest blog updates, you would have seen the many fashion posts I published this month and I am so happy and proud of them! I've spoken about how I want fashion to be a bigger part of the blog and I am finally moving towards that. I also had the opportunity to write my first restaurant review and what a great experience that was, so do expect a few more lifestyle posts from me too. Without further ado, here are the highlights of my October.

Fall 2016 Fashion Trends: Cold Shoulder & Embroidered Denim

As trends tend to do the off-shoulder, which was widely popular in spring and summer, has evolved into different styles. The trend is morphing into cut-out shoulders; one shoulder exposed and bare backs. I reckon the Cold Shoulder trend came about because we weren't ready just yet to say goodbye to exposed shoulders. What stands out for me about this particular tendency compared to its original version is how much more interesting it makes fall outfits. The cold shoulder is the route to sexy, whilst being subtle and is incredibly more versatile than the off-shoulder. Plus, it is said that the shoulder is the only part of a woman's body that doesn't age (let's all believe that), so shoulders exposed are appropriate no matter your age.

Portobello Market Treat: Pix Pintxos Bar in Notting Hill

One of the perks of being a blogger is being invited to events, to try different things and by different things I obviously mean food. When I first started blogging I never thought I'd branch out and venture into writing restaurant reviews or anything remotely similar for that matter. But you know what they say, you won't know whether you like it or not until you try and now that I've tried it, I can safely say I bloody love it. Which is why, when citizenMag reached out offering me to try one of their recently reviewed eateries around London I didn't think twice. Presented with a multitude of choice, I picked the very unique Pix Bar in Notting Hill, and off we went to try it out.

Wear It Pink: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October not only sees the beginning of fall and bring us one step closer to Christmas, it is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. October highlights a worldwide annual campaign involving thousands of organisations, to emphasise the importance of breast cancer awareness, education and research. Breast cancer has affected my loved ones in the past, not anyone in my actual family but friends  who are just as close, and thankfully all of them have won the battle against it! Thanks to wonderful organisations around the world, they were able to get the help they needed, not just physically but also mentally, which proves how important their work truly is for those in need in such difficult times.

Your Complete Guide To This Season's Best (& Hottest) Coats

Winter is on the fast approach, the days are getting shorter, natural light is becoming scarce and before we know it, temperatures will barely be reaching two significant figures, fun huh! Whilst I don't particularly enjoy having frozen hands, toes and nose I always look forward to winter so I can buy myself a new coat (not that I really need another but #shopaholic). With dropping temperatures, it's time to ditch the capes, blanket scarves and trench coats we were getting away with until now and opt instead for something a little warmer, ready for the snow that is on the way (apparently Britain is going to face its coldest winter in a good number of years, yikes!). Here is a concise list of the hottest outwear options for you this winter; you're welcome! :)

My Top 5 Fall 2016 Beauty Trends

Doing my make-up and getting dolled up is quite possibly one of my favourite things about this colder season. Add to that list Netflix marathons, wearing lots and lots of layers, burning my favourite candles and all the pair of boots I can buy wear and I have my perfect autumn. I have always been a summer person, but fall has this way of warming its way in to my heart that no other season has. Plus when it comes to beauty, everything becomes easier when the weather turns chilly outside; forget having make-up run down you face, oily t-zones and sweaty foreheads! Fall also means I can be braver with colour; my darker lip shades come out to play, as do my glittery eyeshadows, both of which are proving to be popular beauty trends for the season! If you want to know about some other trends too, keep reading!

Fall 2016 Fashion Trends: Oversized Knit & Pleated Skirt

My weekend outfits can almost always be defined in two adjectives; comfy and cosy, especially with fall finally hitting hard. Which is why I am happy to see Pleated Skirts not going anywhere this season, talk about comfy yet stylish. I wore pleats in the spring, last fall and this year I'm at it again. There's nothing more feminine than a piece that has pretty pleats, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this ladylike skirt being a hit on fall 2016-2017 catwalks. Coming in silver and gold at Gucci, in lurex at Max Mara, in colour blocks at Tommy Hilfiger and in velvet at Valentino, it's safe to say that pleats are once again having a moment in fashion.

Out With The Old, In With The New ft. Boohoo

You will agree with me when I say that autumn is the perfect season to refresh our wardrobe. With new fall trends taking over the fashion world, we fashion bloggers want to try new outfit combinations and styles but truth is, we can barely fit anything else in our closets. This is particularly true for me and with the tiny wardrobe and one set of drawers I have in my room, trying to squeeze in a new piece is always a struggle, let alone a whole new outfit.

How To Avoid A Cold Or The Flu This Season

The blogging world has gone absolutely mad with the arrival of autumn. From fall fashion hauls to berry themed make-up tutorials, autumn is the blogger's dream season (apart from the lack of natural light) and rightfully so. Think of all the things we have been looking forward to this season; TV shows finally coming back, all the cosy jumpers we can wear, festivities being just around the corner - have I mentioned 78 days until Xmas?! And whilst these are great, we all know fall also brings heavy rainfall, cold and extremely windy weather conditions, not to be mention...germs everywhere. That's right, fall brings a sudden rise to the number of sick people, suffering with a cold or the flu, and if you're sitting in an extremely packed tube every day like myself, your odds of not getting sick are not looking good. Which is why I thought on today's post I'd bring a few health tips proven to boost your immune system during the colder months. I'm no expert, but I did some research and I hope you find these helpful!

Fall 2016 Fashion Trend: Burgundy & Leopard Print

Autumn is finally upon us and boy let me tell you, I am excited. When I think of fall I think of pumpkin spice latte, binge watching movies all weekend under the covers, all the pretty hats and gloves I can wear, and let's not forget the boots too; those babies are finally coming out to play. Colours are less bright, tones are little darker and autumn after autumn, year after year, if there is one shade I always go back to that has to be Burgundy. Speaking of which, I just bought a jumper in this colour at New Look for £7.99; it's called "boxy jumper" and it is SO soft, so definitely check that out if you're currently as obsessed with cosy jumpers as I am!

My Autumn Beauty Must Haves

When I think of which beauty products to go for in the fall I think of lots and lots of moisturisers to sort out my dry skin, lip balms to avoid chapped lips and heavy duty face creams to ensure my skin is always nourished. I also love wearing darker shades for the lips and eyes; burgundy and wine lipstick shades, and gold/metallic eyeshadows in particular are my favourite. So today I thought I'd share a few new goodies I have been playing around with lately and which are going to be just perfect for fall.

Portugal Travel Dairy & Lookbook: Part 3

To commemorate quite possibly the last day of summer weather of the year (today, 25 degrees!), let me throw it back to the beginning of the month when I was in Portugal, more specifically Sintra and Lisbon, enjoying the amazing weather, the food (which is what I miss the most) and the pretty sights. If you've read part 1 and part 2 of this series you will know my holiday started off in Algarve, home of the gorgeous Lagos beaches and caves, and the Albufeira nightlife which was situated very close to where we staying. After a week in the sun, we decided to leave the amazing villa we had rented and head to Lisbon for the weekend before flying back to London. We hit the road and just after a 2 hour and 30 minutes drive our first stop was Sintra!

The National Wedding Show With Debenhams

It's not everyday you get VIP tickets for an event, so when Debenhams contacted me asking whether a guest and I wanted to attend the National Wedding Show this past weekend I, of course said yes. If you don't already know (despite me talking about it endlessly here on the blog), I am getting married next April, on the 9th to be more specific, which is just over 6 months away! I've attended my fair share of wedding shows this year already with both my fiancé and my mom for inspiration, and I'm glad to report the major details of the day are all ironed out already. We've got the photographers booked, the wedding dress chosen and bought, the venue and menu sorted out and our honeymoon all booked and paid for, kudos to us! But having still to find the bridesmaids dresses, shoes and hair accessories, the National Wedding Show at Olympia London seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a great wedding related day out!

I'm A Zumba Addict: My Top 5 Songs

If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat you will know my stories are mostly about mom and I being at the gym for a Zumba class. At the beginning of the year, when my wedding date was already set, we decided we wanted to go back to the gym to get back in shape, try to be more healthy and no longer feel breathless as we went up a flight of stairs. Since February we have been going to Zumba classes (as well as Dance Fitness, Body Blast and Yoga) and our updated and improved lifestyle has brought us so many benefits. Despite going to classes almost every day, the next day I feel ready to start my day and I am always looking forward to the next class. That's the effect Zumba has on you, it's enjoyable, energizing and an amazing way to burn those extra calories and tone the body. And given we've been going for a good number of months now we have the choreography of most songs down and also our favourite songs which we listen to even outside of classes. Today I'm rounding up my top 5 songs because a) they are SO fun to listen to and b) what's better than good Latin (I may be biased here) music to get you in weekend mode? Enjoy!

New In: Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation + Swatches

If there is a make-up brand I love and get extremely excited over almost all its new launches that would be Urban Decay. I've reviewed and mentioned my fair share of UD products on this blog and most of my must haves are from them too. From their Godsend concealer to the most amazing eyeshadow palettes, there are products I have yet to try but what I have has not disappointed me in the slightest. We all know their Naked palettes are must haves but so are their base products. Their UD concealer, in my opinion, is miles better than the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, and their Naked Skin Foundation is still currently in my top 3. Which is why I over the moon to see a new foundation in the market which claimed to be full coverage, matte and waterproof. I've now read a few reviews in the blogging world about this product and it's fair to say that views are fairly mixed. Some love it, some hate it which is why I'm here to share my two cents with you.

Fall 2016 Fashion Trends: Part 1

Fall fashion is one of my favourites, the layering, the darker than usual shades, the coats and gloves; everything becomes a lot more glamorous when the air is chilly out. With Fashion Week well underway and arriving in London today, we are bound to see a lot more press around the trends being displayed in the catwalk and the ones which are expected to be huge this season. Here are 5 trends (I'll bring part 2 in a later post ) we should keep an eye on and why not even try to style.

Autumn Is Coming: Things To Look Forward To This Fall

As I begin to type this post it is currently 25 degrees outside and the time is exactly 9:22pm. God knows where this late heatwave is coming from but we sure are experiencing full-on summer weather at the beginning of September and it has thrown us off slightly. I've recently come back from my summer holiday and if you're all caught up on my latest posts you will know how much I loved Portugal (see part 1 and 2 of my travel diary here and here) and everything it had to offer, aka good weather, amazing food and the nicest of people. Despite only spending 9 days there, I felt like my summer dose was enough and I was ready for fall. Instead, as the week back in London progressed the sunny weather returned stronger each day and here I am sitting with 2 fans pointed at me, feeling sticky even after 3 showers today; I am still waiting for fall. As much as I love summer, fall has to be my favourite season of the year and I'll explain why.

Algarve, Here I Come + International Giveaway

Source
The time for my holiday has come, eeeep! If you haven't already heard I'm off to Algarve tomorrow in the early hours of the morning and I can't wait to spend a whole week (and a day) in the sun tanning my extremely pale complexion, swimming in our pool and, enjoying the villa and surroundings. I have never been to Portugal before, and with my fiancé practically being Portuguese I couldn't be more excited. We plan to spend a day or two in Lisbon too and Sephora is already calling my name! I also hear shops like Zara and Berksha are a lot cheaper over there so I'm definitely leaving a little space in my suitcase to bring back lots of new goodies. I might also shoot some outfit posts out there in the streets of Lisbon as I hear they are gorgeous!

Needless to say, I've become quite obsessed with the trend and have bought way too many different tops and dresses which I have yet to wear, such as this gorgeous little black dress from none other than Matalan, which you may know I love.

Spring and summer fashion this year was fun, girly and colourful with various trends to get sucked into. My favourites include the pom pom trend, pleats and white trainers I have repeatedly worn here on the blog (see here, here, here, here, here and here - I told you there were many posts).

Cool & Comfy: Sports Retro Fashion is HOT!

Sports fashion has been evolving for the past few years. If you think about it, we've been rocking the trend for quite some time now. That cap you threw on to finish off the look (and to make it tumblr worthy), the hoodie you put on top of your floral dress for extra comfort and warmth, that white pair of sneakers you haven't been able to take off for the past few months; it all adds up. Hints of the trend have already marked presence in our day to day outfits, and inevitably sporty fashion grew with it. The division between style and comfort got blurred in the process and sporty outfits have became the norm of daywear. The athletic influences have certainly grown and here's a few ways you can style this trend with some gorgeous vintage pieces from Rokit, because what's better than keeping it sporty AND retro?!

So after reading numerous reviews about these L'Oreal face masks, it was only a matter of time I got my hands on all of them to try and see what the fuss was all about. Bring On the Heatwave: 5 Places In London To Visit This Weekend

I'm able to count the days I was able to leave the house in nothing but a tee and some shorts and despite the longer days and more sunshine, the temperature has barely left the mid-twenties…ah well. This weekend however and towards the beginning of next week, we should be getting more summer-like weather in London at least and it's now or never! If you haven't had a bbq yet this is the time, and for someone like me who hasn't yet been to the beach this year, Brighton here I come! Mark my words; these are going to be the last few days of summer so we should most definitely make the most it. With the likes of urban beaches and rooftops, if you're planning to spend these hot upcoming days in the city there is no excuse for not doing something cool during the weekend.

S/S 2016 Trends: Khaki Cropped & Flared Jumpsuit

With my summer holidays finally just a few weeks away, I've been putting together a list of everything I wish to take and needless to say it's basically my entire wardrobe. I ridiculously over-pack every time so in the attempt to cut down the amount of clothes I take and bring back intact and unworn, I have been trying to find pieces that are easy to throw on as well as lightweight to endure the 30+ degrees heat of Algarve at the end of the month. Enter this gorgeous Satin Wide Leg Cropped Jumpsuit from the newest Abbey Clancy's Picks for Matalan.

My Ultimate Summer Nail Polish Shade: Essie Fifth Avenue

You know you have a problem when people ask why you are repeatedly sporting the same nail colour. It's not a secret that I love Essie polishes and until I discovered L'Oreal polishes which I talked about here, Essie was the one and only brand I ever bought so you can imagine I have quite the collection. But there is one I shade I always go back and today I want to dedicate this entire (albeit short) post to it.

S/S 2016 Trends: Chanel Two-Tone Inspired Sling-Backs

I've talked about owning a Chanel bag on the blog before (read here) and according to a new study from Baghunter, an authentic bag currently makes a better investment than real state. We all know how expensive they are, but what people don't realise is that their value has increased more than 70% since 2010, and is set to continue on this up rise. Considering getting on the house ladder in London is extremely difficult don't mind if I do get me a new bag! Now I have the perfect excuse, am I right?! And whilst I am at it, I might as well get me a pair of Chanel Sling-Backs because have you seen how popular they've been this summer?

London's Hottest Rooftop: Pergola On The Roof @Television Centre

When the opportunity of visiting London's Hottest Rooftop Pergola on the Roof arose, I of course jumped at the chance. If you know me you will know that good food, great décor and floral displays are things (amongst many) which rock my boat. I've always wanted to write more lifestyle posts and this came at the perfect time so I hope you enjoy reading this.

S/S 2016 Trends: Pom Poms Are Everywhere!

I love anything in white, black and grey but you will agree with me that summer has to have a bit of colour and this year I have really been trying to embrace more shades in my outfits and it is so much more fun. Which is why there is one particular trend I (alongside major fashion bloggers) am loving and that is the pom pom trend. It is very unlikely that you have not seen this all over social media and if you haven't, where have you been?! The pom pom trend has taken Instagram by a storm and it is permeating everything from accessories to footwear!

Work Summer Party: My Weekend In Photos

Gotta love when your company throws a massive summer party with tons of free food and drinks. I've now been to three parties (they are annual) and if you did not know already, I work in finance by day and blog by night. Working in finance is stressful as and I might even do a post sometime in the future explaining what a data analyst does and how my day at work looks like. But essentially this is the way the company thanks us for our hard work, by having massive (and I really mean massive) summer parties and one would have to be stupid not to turn up, right?!

Summer Holiday: My Poolside Essentials

With my holiday a mere month away - and a day but who's counting - it's time to sort out my stuff and decide on what I'm actually going to take. And let me tell you, for someone who excessively over packs, this is a tough one. Amidst the different pairs of bikini (even though I will most likely stick to only wearing one), roughly ten very similar dresses (out of which 6 will return unused) and the many pairs of shoes (Havaianas will miraculously go with any outfit), I have to leave room for my poolside essentials. And I call these poolside essentials because I am much more of a pool kinda girl than a beach bunny. Don't get me wrong, I love exploring and finding new beaches but the mixture of being wet and sand doesn't appeal to me in the slightest so thank goodness for the swimming pool in the villa we rented out; if you need me I will be lazing around there in my pretty flamingo floater. Here's what I'm taking to make sunbathing time more fun and fashionable!
