Coral Bridesmaid Outfit: What I Wore To My Brother's Wedding

You've read that right. My little brother who I swear just graduated from university has gotten married. It all happened in the beautiful (albeit too hot) town of Elvas, Portugal a couple of weeks ago. The weather forecast for the day: 38 degrees celsius, the task: to find a bridesmaid worthy outfit that wouldn't suffocate me or give me heatstroke. Glad to report it all ended well and I thought I'd share some shots from the outfit I wore and details about each piece, especially because they were all amazing finds!

Almost 4 months ago I was standing at the altar, across my best friend saying "I do" and what a magical day it was. The weather had been terrible all week, yet on that day the sun shone, unlike anything you would see in April. The day went all according to plan, no surprises, no unplanned events and everything looked and felt amazing. Which is why today I thought I'd reminisce a little and look back at all of my wedding details. Details can be easily overlooked but they add up to making the day feel whole and a lot of work goes into them. For all the brides out there currently planning their big days and looking for a little help (trust me, I know how overwhelming this can be), these bits of information might help you out as I will also be listing some contacts and supplier names. Our Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

I'm baaaack! I cannot describe how much I've missed this space of mine! As you may (or may not) know, I got married last Sunday and as soon as March hit I had to take a few weeks away from here to deal with all the last minute wedding preparations, moving and decorating our own place, and sorting out anything that had to be done prior to entering married life. It has been a crazy couple of weeks for sure, but also exciting ones! And now, I am so glad I am finally finding the time to sit down and put my thoughts into writing and get back to doing what I love, which is keeping this little corner of the internet updated and full of ideas! I have so much planned for the upcoming weeks and with regards to married life, I cannot wait to share with you guys everything (ok, maybe not everyyyything lol....). The National Wedding Show With Debenhams

It's not everyday you get VIP tickets for an event, so when Debenhams contacted me asking whether a guest and I wanted to attend the National Wedding Show this past weekend I, of course said yes. If you don't already know (despite me talking about it endlessly here on the blog), I am getting married next April, on the 9th to be more specific, which is just over 6 months away! I've attended my fair share of wedding shows this year already with both my fiancé and my mom for inspiration, and I'm glad to report the major details of the day are all ironed out already. We've got the photographers booked, the wedding dress chosen and bought, the venue and menu sorted out and our honeymoon all booked and paid for, kudos to us! But having still to find the bridesmaids dresses, shoes and hair accessories, the National Wedding Show at Olympia London seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a great wedding related day out!

What NOT To Wear To A Wedding (EVER!)

Wedding season is well and truly upon us and engagement parties as well as wedding invitations are flowing in. Weddings are fun and the perfect excuse to dress up which is something I love. The last wedding I attended was last year, in Cyprus and a lot of thought went into my outfit which you can see here. I wanted something summery and flowery, due to the near inferno temperatures, yet not overly flashing; nobody wants to outshine the bride. Choosing something appropriate for a wedding is hard but a MUST, regardless of whether it is a back yard or church wedding. You may have seen in the news the story about a woman wearing (in my opinion) a tiny body-con dress to a summer wedding and being bullied by other guests (read story here). And whilst bullying is totally unacceptable, I do find find her outfit to be very inappropriate for the occasion, no matter how hot the day may have been. Sure, every wedding is different and for a beach one you may get away with something a little shorter, but there are simply outfits you should NEVER, I repeat never wear to a wedding and today I wanna talk about these.
