5 Good Habits I've Picked Up During Quarantine

Quarantine hasn't been all bad. Granted I've missed shopping trips and seeing friends, but I've come to thoroughly enjoy being at home, making the most of what we have and being thankful for every single moment spent together, watching a show or trying out a new recipe. With quarantine, a few things naturally changed for me and I've ended up picking up a few habits which in my opinion have done a lot of good for my well-being, both physically and mentally and I wanted to share these with you today. Let me know if you can relate to any!

3 Things I Really Dislike About Paris

I've been to Paris not once, not twice but 3 times now and I'd like to think I know the city well enough by now. First two times I visited it was during a rather cold wet winter season. This time round, Paris in July was a very last-minute trip for us. My family was visiting from Brazil for my brother's wedding and my 14-year old cousin begged us to take her to Disneyland given they were already halfway across the globe and Paris was just "there", as she put it. With her 15th birthday coming up, I decided to grant her wish as an early birthday present so we all went. Spending 3 days in Paris reminded me of the things I love about this city but it also highlighted things I did not quite enjoy (to put it lightly). We often read "What you must see in Paris" articles but well, here are a few things no one is talking about enough.

It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year: Christmas at Covent Garden

I honestly cannot believe we're less than a month away from Christmas. I'll spare you from the cliché comments like "where has the year gone", "time has flown by", etc, etc. Instead, today I wanted to share a little bit about the lovely day I had with the husband in central London this past weekend. I honestly cannot remember the last time we had gone into London for the weekend (we've clearly become far too lazy after we got married) but determined to make Christmas last as long as possible, I proposed and planned a day to see the sights, enjoy some of the Christmas spirit the city already has to offer and have a great meal out. I can anticipate that all things were successfully accomplished and if you want to see what our day looked like, then keep on reading!

5 Stunning Beaches You Must Visit In Menorca, Spain

Ah, it feels good to be back. No, I'm lying, take me back to sunny Spain and leave me there for the rest of the summer (is that too much to ask?). I'm currently suffering from post-holiday blues, especially after such an amazing week and a bit in Menorca. I had never been before to this stunning island and what can I say, it completely wowed me. Menorca (or Minorca) is one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea belonging to Spain. Its name derives from its size, contrasting it with nearby Majorca, but despite being tiny it offers so much in culture, gastronomy, architecture and of course, leisure. I truly love getting to know new places and making the most of every day, and that is exactly what we did during our stay. With the numerous beaches we went to in mind, I thought I'd put together a list of 5 top beaches and tips about each one if you ever find yourselves going to this unmissable island.

Welcome 2.6! 26 Things I have learned by 26

So no one told you life was gonna be this way...

This girl turned 26 yesterday and it feels like just yesterday I was 18! When people told me that after 20, time was going to fly by I did not believe them but it has been so very true. Every year goes by quicker and quicker so I always remind myself that it is a good idea to make the most of it. This past year was full of different experiences, both good and bad, which I believe made me grow as a person. I learned various different things and I wanted to share with you 26 of these today, in no particular order. Enjoying reading and I hope you like the outfit I bring you today, featuring Simply Be.

3 Easy Ways to Cosy Up Your Home This Autumn

Ah, the beauty of fall is here to stay and now that I have my own space, I can't wait to decorate it for a more autumnal feel. Given I got married during springtime, my house has since then been incredibly colourful because is there any better way to do summer decor? I think not! Hence, this is my first time doing my own decor for the colder days ahead and needless to say my Christmas wishlist is already huge; a new tree, ornaments, all the tartar print decor, fairy lights, snow globes, you name it! For now, though I have to content myself with slightly less themed decor bits because one may say it's a bit early for all the Santa stuff to be coming out, but I still want my home to feel more cosy, warm and nice to look at. Which is why, when Uncommongoods.com invited me to check out their amazing collection, this post was like a light bulb moment. I know I know, this sort of thing has been done a million times before and none of these ideas is exactly groundbreaking but I still want to write about them so here I am! I hope you enjoy these 3 ideas on how to make your home cosier this fall, let's go!

Planning a Wedding? Let Me Help! Here Are My Wedding Details!

Almost 4 months ago I was standing at the altar, across my best friend saying "I do" and what a magical day it was. The weather had been terrible all week, yet on that day the sun shone, unlike anything you would see in April. The day went all according to plan, no surprises, no unplanned events and everything looked and felt amazing. Which is why today I thought I'd reminisce a little and look back at all of my wedding details. Details can be easily overlooked but they add up to making the day feel whole and a lot of work goes into them. For all the brides out there currently planning their big days and looking for a little help (trust me, I know how overwhelming this can be), these bits of information might help you out as I will also be listing some contacts and supplier names. And if you're not planning a wedding just yet, join me in oohing and aahing at these gorgeous shots!

Sardinia Summer Travel Diary: Top 5 Beaches

After what seemed like the longest weekend ever (not in a good way as hubby was in the hospital), I am finally able to sit down and write this up, and I have really been looking forward to doing so! If you didn't already know, we holidayed in Sardinia last month for our honeymoon and it was simply put, the best holiday we have ever had. Last week, I shared with you a quick review of the three hotels we stayed in during our time there, and you can check that out here. As promised, this is probably going to be a three-part series, and today I wanted to talk about what to do and more especially which beaches and activities are a must whilst you're there. Sardinia despite being an island is quite large and its coastline is extremely extensive so these are among the 5 best places we went to nearby Olbia, which is in the northeast of the island. I hope this helps if you'e ever planning on a (totally worth it!) or maybe it will just give you major holiday blues, like I am feeling at the moment just by looking at these pictures!

Sardinia Travel Diary: Where To Stay

Narrowing down places for a honeymoon is not an easy task. Let alone choosing a specific country and town. But in my case, I knew from the beginning that I wanted to visit Italy again for my honeymoon. For those who don't know, I'm half Italian (from mum's side) and I lived in Italy 12 years ago for a whole year. I went to school there, I made and left behind many Italian friends and picked up the language rather quickly (sadly I don't speak much anymore as I'm out of practice). Time flies and to think I was 13 when I last was there, made me miss the place even more. After many weeks of consideration, the husband and I narrowed it down to two places, Sicily and Sardinia, and finally, we ended up going for the latter.

Getting Married, Back To Blogging & More: Life Update

BLOGGING
After what seemed to be very quick 3 months, I look forward to working really hard to bring this blog back to what it was before I excused myself to live the most important moment of my life. I guess you don't realise how much you miss something until you do. Imagine planning and getting married, going on your honeymoon and settling into married life, sounds like a lot right?! It really was, but I happily gave way to these priorities because I knew this space would be waiting for me when I finally decided to come back!

Our Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

I'm baaaack! I cannot describe how much I've missed this space of mine! As you may (or may not) know, I got married last Sunday and as soon as March hit I had to take a few weeks away from here to deal with all the last minute wedding preparations, moving and decorating our own place, and sorting out anything that had to be done prior to entering married life. It has been a crazy couple of weeks for sure, but also exciting ones! And now, I am so glad I am finally finding the time to sit down and put my thoughts into writing and get back to doing what I love, which is keeping this little corner of the internet updated and full of ideas! I have so much planned for the upcoming weeks and with regards to married life, I cannot wait to share with you guys everything (ok, maybe not everyyyything lol....). I hope you enjoy these marriage related posts and that you come back for more. I will throw in the mix a few fashion posts too because boy, have I missed those!

Inexpensive Valentine's Day Ideas

Valentine's Day is coming up but of course, you already know that. Annoyingly the date falls on a Tuesday which is a work day and usually a gym night for me but never mind. Now, Valentine's Day can be a little overwhelming and I bet you're asking yourself a few of these questions; "what shall I wear?", "what will I get him/her?", "where are we going for dinner?". So many decisions to make, not to mention what an expensive day it turns out to be! Don't Break Your New Year's Resolution: Keeping Fit The Right Way

"I am going to be fit this year."
"I am going to eat clean and workout."
"I am going to lose weight and get back in shape."

Who hasn't put this one resolution on their list for 2017? Year after year, the top two New Year's resolutions made are to 1. to get fit, and 2. to lose weight. If either of those is on your to-do list, good for you! Keeping fit is vital and you should not be putting it off until next month or heck, next year. If however, your motivation levels have already drastically dropped you're probably doing this whole fit life wrong. The scramble to lose weight and get fit in the beginning of the year is always a given, and the gym industry reaps all the benefits. But did you know that 4% of new gym goers don't even make it past the end of January and 14% drop out in February? Do you wanna be part of this percentage? I didn't think so! I've been there before myself and yes you save gym money which you can spend on clothes and food, but in the long-run, you know you would have been better off working out with no drop outs. With this in mind, today I bring you 5 tips which massively help me staying focused and motivated!

Balancing It All: Working, Blogging & Wedding Planning

It is quite noticeable how quieter it has been around here lately. Since November 2016, I've not put out there the usual number of posts I used to do every month and that is totally ok. I am not saying this is a bad thing at all, because I honestly do not think it is. I am currently going through an important period of my life and whilst I am doing my very best to keep the lights on in this space, I think it is perfectly fine to take a step back once in a while to focus on other priorities.

Happy 25th Birthday To Me

25 aka quarter of a century. Maybe turning 25 won't be so bad. I can still choose if I want to be wise and mature, or young and care-free. I have every excuse to have a quarter life crisis. 25 means lower car rental rates (even if I don't have a driver's license lol). I can totally justify buying expensive cosmetics; gotta keep that skin young! I am still a "young adult" and have 15 years before "middle age". 30 is the new 20, haven't you heard?! I'll always be ten days older than my future husband but I still look pretty young for my age. I get to celebrate with pizza, family and friends, and most importantly cake!

Vietnamese Street Food Class @ The Jamie Oliver Cookery School

It's not every day you get invited to attend a cooking class, especially when it's at Jamie Oliver's brand new Cookery School. I've always wanted to attend a class of similar nature; I am getting married in April and despite not being the biggest cook, wouldn't hurt for me and the future hubby to pick a few skills. Jamie Oliver is a household name and we simply had to try the latest of his growing enterprise which is why, when I saw the invitation pop into my inbox I immediately accepted and off we went for a night of Vietnamese street food preparing.
