Planning a Wedding? Let Me Help! Here Are My Wedding Details!

Almost 4 months ago I was standing at the altar, across my best friend saying "I do" and what a magical day it was. The weather had been terrible all week, yet on that day the sun shone, unlike anything you would see in April. The day went all according to plan, no surprises, no unplanned events and everything looked and felt amazing. Which is why today I thought I'd reminisce a little and look back at all of my wedding details. Details can be easily overlooked but they add up to making the day feel whole and a lot of work goes into them. For all the brides out there currently planning their big days and looking for a little help (trust me, I know how overwhelming this can be), these bits of information might help you out as I will also be listing some contacts and supplier names. And if you're not planning a wedding just yet, join me in oohing and aahing at these gorgeous shots!

Getting Married, Back To Blogging & More: Life Update

BLOGGING
After what seemed to be very quick 3 months, I look forward to working really hard to bring this blog back to what it was before I excused myself to live the most important moment of my life. I guess you don't realise how much you miss something until you do. Imagine planning and getting married, going on your honeymoon and settling into married life, sounds like a lot right?! It really was, but I happily gave way to these priorities because I knew this space would be waiting for me when I finally decided to come back!

Our Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

I'm baaaack! I cannot describe how much I've missed this space of mine! As you may (or may not) know, I got married last Sunday and as soon as March hit I had to take a few weeks away from here to deal with all the last minute wedding preparations, moving and decorating our own place, and sorting out anything that had to be done prior to entering married life. It has been a crazy couple of weeks for sure, but also exciting ones! And now, I am so glad I am finally finding the time to sit down and put my thoughts into writing and get back to doing what I love, which is keeping this little corner of the internet updated and full of ideas! I have so much planned for the upcoming weeks and with regards to married life, I cannot wait to share with you guys everything (ok, maybe not everyyyything lol....). I hope you enjoy these marriage related posts and that you come back for more. I will throw in the mix a few fashion posts too because boy, have I missed those!

The National Wedding Show With Debenhams

It's not everyday you get VIP tickets for an event, so when Debenhams contacted me asking whether a guest and I wanted to attend the National Wedding Show this past weekend I, of course said yes. If you don't already know (despite me talking about it endlessly here on the blog), I am getting married next April, on the 9th to be more specific, which is just over 6 months away! I've attended my fair share of wedding shows this year already with both my fiancé and my mom for inspiration, and I'm glad to report the major details of the day are all ironed out already. We've got the photographers booked, the wedding dress chosen and bought, the venue and menu sorted out and our honeymoon all booked and paid for, kudos to us! But having still to find the bridesmaids dresses, shoes and hair accessories, the National Wedding Show at Olympia London seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a great wedding related day out!

Wedding Drama: The 5 Stages of Wedding Planning

As some of you may know I'm getting married next year, more specifically in April 2017 giving us just under a year to plan the entire thing. In my head, planning a wedding was always going to be so much fun. I would imagine myself creating endless wedding boards with all the pretty decor I wanted for the big day and that getting every piece and putting them together would be rather simple because I'd be organised and know exactly what to do next. Whilst some of that is true, I've come to realise that despite being really happy about being engaged and marrying the person I love the most, wedding planning was making me pull out all of my hair and stress big time. Before speaking to a few contacts and hiring a few people to help (best decision I've ever made), I had several hilarious breakdowns aka the 5 stages of wedding planning and I thought I'd share them with you guys!

Our Big Day: Wedding Inspiration Board

As each day goes by, we got closer and closer to our wedding date. That's right, we have FINALLY settled on a date and all will be soon revealed as we still have to work out invitations and a few others bits and bobs before letting the whole world know. What I can say is that we will be getting married in April 2017! I know technically April means beginning of spring, but in my head I'm planning a winter wedding more than anything else. Truth be told, I've always dreamed of a white wedding and despite chances of having snow in April being very slim to none, it will still be chilly out! With this in mind, I'm thinking cosy ambiance, lights and flowers and pretty much anything rustic/wonderland related. I confess I've been already stressing out a little but nothing major. Finding the venue was tough, have you seen the prices in London?! But we finally found a place that we both really like and despite being smaller than what I had always dreamed of when I was little (yes I wanted a castle but ain't nobody got money for that), with all the decor and set ups, it will be like our own little piece of haven. Here's a few inspirations (all from Pinterest of course), because where would I be without Pinterest?!

Hope you guys like this shorter post today. This week has been nothing but hectic but thank GOD it's Friday! Let me know if you've got any wedding tips for me and what your thoughts are on the themes I've chosen! Thanks for reading beauties and have a nice weekend ahead!

xoxo
