Getting Married, Back To Blogging & More: Life Update

After what seemed to be very quick 3 months, I look forward to working really hard to bring this blog back to what it was before I excused myself to live the most important moment of my life. I guess you don't realise how much you miss something until you do. Imagine planning and getting married, going on your honeymoon and settling into married life, sounds like a lot right?! It really was, but I happily gave way to these priorities because I knew this space would be waiting for me when I finally decided to come back!

Despite missing sharing my thoughts on various subjects for someone out there to care enough to read it, life is made up of different phases and when you are about to embark on such an important one, you're either all in and all out and I opted to give it my undivided attention (as it should be done!).  Being married isn't a day or week's job (pretty much 24/7) but our routines have gone to back to a somewhat steady pace. I'm finally getting to grips with balancing it all; work, family, social life, and now to add to the mix, blogging! Not only do I want to go back into fashion blogging, but I hope to incorporate a few more subjects I've recently learned to love. Among these subjects are women's health, relationships, travel, fitness and most importantly, FOOD! My heart fills with joy knowing blogging can be a priority again and I hope to make the very best of it!

If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen some (read "a lot") wedding pictures from our big day. We got married on the 9th of April 2017 at the Forty Hall Estate in Enfield, which is about a 30-minute drive from London. I remember that particular week being absolutely miserable weather wise but I prayed for good weather for about a year and the guy up there really delivered. I woke up to an absolutely beautiful and clear blue sky, glorious sunshine, and what would have been the hottest (and best) day of the year. Despite melting at times in my dreamy long-sleeved gown, we had the most amazing time. There are no words to describe the feeling you get before you walk down the aisle to marry your best friend. Add to that a party filled with joy and getting to share this magical moment in our lives with our family and friends; we couldn't have been more blessed. The day passed by very quickly before our eyes but we made sure to enjoy every single moment of it. I guess it's true what they say, time flies when you're having fun...these past 3 months have been the best of my life!

We chose to holiday later in the summer given in April the weather would have been too unstable around Europe (and not hot enough for this pale girl to come home with a gorgeous tan!). Our destination was Sardinia, Italy and again, if you've seen the pictures you will know how much we enjoyed ourselves out there. I plan on doing a series on Sardinia here on the blog which I hope you will love as much as I do, to give tips on where to stay, where to eat and the places you mustn't miss so I will go over in more detail about our trip in those. But in short, what a breathtaking place! #takemeback

If you've made it to the end, give yourself a pat on the back :)
I hope everyone has had a great weekend and is ready to start a brand new week because I know I am! Waking up to a brand new day is a blessing, don't take it for granted. Instead, let's kick some ass, work hard to achieve our goals and make the most of every single minute! #Mondaymotivation
