All About Animal Print: Snake Print Boots

Trends come and go (and come and go again), and more than ever we've seen this happening lately in fashion. With trends from the 80s and 90s resurfacing it's true what they say, the old is the new. But some trends never really go out of style; they may be more popular one season than another but, as a whole, they're pieces we probably have in our wardrobes all year round and can rely on when putting a killer outfit together.

This season, amongst all the things that will have their five minutes of fame, we saw the return of the animal print (which seems to be sticking around a LOT longer than five minutes). I've talked about the leopard print endlessly here, and how it is a trend that keeps popping up and its updates always feel relevant. In a similar fashion, the snake print is also having its moment, perhaps not quite as big as a leopard, but still worth the attention. Keep on reading!

Fall Go-To Outfit: Knee-High Boots & Midi Dress

Oops, I did it again. I've gone and added yet another pair of boots to the collection (well, truth be told 2 pairs but more on that in an upcoming post). There is a perfectly reasonable explanation behind my recent addition and that is the TV hit show, Friends. Despite being a little longer than 14 years since Friends aired its last episode, this show never gets old. I kid you not, but I must have rewatched the entire thing a good number of times by now, and a couple of weeks back I started it again on good ol' Netflix. Yup, I am a massive Friends fan, I know lines by heart and I love everything about it. Some say the show is somewhat dated, but you will agree with me that the fashion isn't and Rachel Green's wardrobe, especially in season 6 onwards, is still on the money. I recently saw the episode The One With Joey's Porche in which Ross and Rachel try to get an annulment and Rachel is wearing THE most fabulous pair of high boots as they march down to their lawyer's office. The boots (see them here) were glossy, knee-high and with a heel sturdy enough to spend a day stomping around in; she obviously looked fabulous, the boots were absolutely dreamy and were exactly what I wanted in my wardrobe for this winter. A Winter Classic: Fur & Leather (Faux Of-Course)

The name of this post says it all, fur and leather, both faux, is a true winter classic combination. Faur fur is one of those winter trends that will always be around in one form or another. From big and fuzzy fur coats to gilets like the one I am wearing, the way is to snuggle up in faux fur to make a statement. Best yet, not only does it you keep you right on trend but also very warm (which is exactly what I need these days as it is freezing!).

I don't know about you but I am so over black, grey and navy for the colder months. This season it seems that colour has stuck around and lovely green and mustard tones are exceptionally trendy. Styling An Oversized Denim Jacket For the Cold Weather Ahead

You can't beat a cool light wash denim jacket for spring, but for autumn an oversized piece is a great alternative, allowing for layering and lots of room for cozy sweaters underneath. When is sleek and sophisticated monochrome not on trend? Black and white specially is my favourite combination and put together, the shades always look modern and fresh. Wearing black and white head-to-toe is the easiest formula for a put-together look. Whether you are going for a white dress and black accessories, or a white top with black pants; it is hard to mess up this timeless colour combination. Best yet, there are no needs to worry about coordinating accessories since black and white pretty much go hand in hand with anything.

What is winter without a bit of faux fur? Not only is this incredibly cosy trend super stylish, it also gets a furry friend stamp of approval (say no! to real fur garments). From our favourite fashion bloggers to the runways, this trend is everywhere come winter after all what's not to love. My favourite way to showcase a bit (I mean a lot) of faux fur is with outerwear and yes this coat has already made an appearance on this blog here and no the look is not particularly groundbreaking. Shine bright like a diamond; sorry I had to go there! Let's agree, metallic was one of the biggest trends for fall and this winter, it is not going anywhere. Anything that shines and sparkles is particularly hot at the minute given party season is officially upon us and what better time to experiment with pieces you wouldn't normally wear than right now. It seems like every single designer has sent his models down the runway in some sort of version of space-girls, form super refined and high fashion-minimal to more edgy grungy takes of this metallic new look. Winter 2016 Fashion Trends: Leopard Print Coat & Western Boots

Am I glad to see Leopard Print back in the fashion scene! I've had this coat for as long as I can remember, and I've always been put a little off from wearing. The print is loud and the colours are on the bold side, however, it is so warm I was willing to look past all of that and take it out for a day in central London. How freaking cold and windy was this weekend!

Fall 2016 Fashion Trends: Lace-Up Sweater & OTK Boots

Whilst winter doesn't technically start until the 21st of December, it certainly feels like it is already here. I do not know about you, but waking up at 6am and looking out the window to see cars and ground completely covered in frost and ice only makes me want to head back to bed and stay there until a more humanly hour. When did London get this cold? At least there is no snow, which yes is pretty to look at but terrible to deal with, so I will cut my rant short.
