All About Animal Print: Snake Print Boots

Trends come and go (and come and go again), and more than ever we've seen this happening lately in fashion. With trends from the 80s and 90s resurfacing it's true what they say, the old is the new. But some trends never really go out of style; they may be more popular one season than another but, as a whole, they're pieces we probably have in our wardrobes all year round and can rely on when putting a killer outfit together.

This season, amongst all the things that will have their five minutes of fame, we saw the return of the animal print (which seems to be sticking around a LOT longer than five minutes). I've talked about the leopard print endlessly here, and how it is a trend that keeps popping up and its updates always feel relevant. In a similar fashion, the snake print is also having its moment, perhaps not quite as big as a leopard, but still worth the attention. Keep on reading!

Despite seeing snake print skirts, suits, and jackets everywhere, shoes are and will always be my favourite way to implement the animal print trend into my outfits. Just like I did it with leopard print booties, the tips on how to style them also apply to this gorgeous snake print pair (if you haven't yet read it, check it out here). Not to repeat myself, but to give a quick overview, you cannot go wrong with pairing snake booties with an all-black ensemble. It works also with neutral tones, colours in a similar palette, that work together for a timeless outfit like I did it here. Given the boots are slightly cool toned, I chose these grey jeans (which fit amazingly well!) and this chunky dark green jumper, both also cool toned, and finished off with a warmer bag to add a bit of pop. Of course, animal print also works amazingly well with the classic blue denim for daytime looks. Remember though, styling options are endless and I'm excited to try to pair these with more and more from my wardrobe.

  1. They suit you really well. I don't think I could pull it off. I'd have to say that leopard is my fave out of the prints but loving the cute ballerina shoes suggestions.
