Nail It: Must Have Spring Nail Polish Shades

Despite not being very good at doing my nails, I love doing them regularly. There is something about freshly painted nails, especially if they are bright and colourful, that always puts me in a better mood! Albeit the weather has been a tad temperamental recently, playing with nail colours always cheers me up and brightens up those rainy/cold supposedly "spring" days.
With this in mind, I thought I'd put together my favourite spring shades that work well for both transitioning from winter into spring, as well as into summer. From pastels, to a hot red shade and everything in between, here are my top 6 nail polishes of the moment that are simply must haves.

OPI Alpine Snow* is the one I have on right now and is the one I will be wearing through the Easter break. White nail polish is so chic and clean, and it goes with anything! Not to mention this particular one from OPI is super long lasting and I love how good the coverage is from the very first coat. Just My Look is the perfect place to shop for OPI polishes!

Pastels go hand in hand with spring, which is why a purple pastel shade is a must! OPI Do You Lilac It* has replaced my Essie Lilacism as I find it a lot more long lasting and easy to work with. Speaking of pastels, green may be a little out there for some but I love it! I wore the Rimmel London Rita Ora Roll In The Grass last Easter for my inspired nail look (see that post here) and I've even repurchased a new bottle. It isn't the too in your face kinda green, making it the perfect spring shade.

L'Oreal has launched a new polish line and Oh my word! If you haven't yet tried them you need to because this stuff is seriously heavenly. I picked up the Rose Ballet shade (as well as a few others) and it is THE blushed nude to have. I'm so impressed by the durability that I'd say it performs just as well as Essie if not better, and you know how much I love my Essie polishes so it really must be good for me to be saying this. Go get one now, you can thank me later.

And lastly, I couldn't leave my favourite polish of all time out of this list as well as another pick from Essie. Fifth Avenue has been featured many times here on the blog and what can I say, I have yet to find a truly red shade as gorgeous as this that works well for any season. Status Symbol on the other hand, is that creamy and feisty hot pink we all need in our collection as it instantly brightens up any outfit and compliments all skin tones.

What do you guys think of my spring polishes? Let me know what your favs are!
Happy Easter everyone, let's remember the true meaning of Easter and put down the chocolate! :p

Thanks for reading beauties and have a beautiful weekend!

xoxo
