Whilst winter doesn't technically start until the 21st of December, it certainly feels like it is already here. I do not know about you, but waking up at 6am and looking out the window to see cars and ground completely covered in frost and ice only makes me want to head back to bed and stay there until a more humanly hour. When did London get this cold? At least there is no snow, which yes is pretty to look at but terrible to deal with, so I will cut my rant short.
Moving on today's subject and more importantly fashion trends I want to show you beauties, let's talk about this gorgeous Lace-Up Sweater* from Zaful. I've expressed my feelings about ordering from these types of retailers before here when I talked about its sister yet more expensive brand Dezzal (see Fall 2016 Fashion Trends: Sweater Dress & Ring Bag). But just like I was pleased with that order, this was even better arriving in just over a week. And better yet, just look at how pretty this sweater is! I've obviously gone knit crazy this season, featuring one in every fashion post I've published lately and what can I say, I am not stopping any time soon. This Lace-Up Sweater is particularly popular on Instagram right about now and if you follow any fashion blogger out there chances are you've already seen it. I clearly couldn't resist jumping on the bandwagon and I am so glad I went for this instead of some other boring knit. Not only it is oversized and perfectly cosy, the lace-up detail is stunning and you can wear it as off-shoulder too which is what I've done here. Yes, I froze a little in the process of shooting these pictures but totally worth it don't you think?
To finish off the outfit, as if the upper half wasn't already pretty enough, I added my trusty Over-the-knee Boots in mocha brown (best purchase on Ebay ever!) and ba da bing ba da boom! I wore these last winter too in the post where I talk about wearing Florals in the Winter, and every time I bring them out I get tons of compliments (little do people know where these are from, so shhhhh!). OTK or thigh-high booties (or however you want to call them) will continue their reign this fall and are even set to become the footwear of the decade. I have 3 pairs as of right now, but I may or may not have added another pair to my boots collection recently so watch this space as I'm bringing it to the spotlight sometime soon. I know what you're thinking mum; did I really need another pair? I most certainly did not but it was on sale and it is real leather which just made completely sense to me.
