5 Things We Bloggers REALLY Want For Christmas

Lists upon lists claiming to have the perfect Christmas gift for him/her/them are sure to be popping up on your feed a lot more this time of year. I am guilty of doing that myself (if you haven't read my From Steal To Splurge: Christmas Gifts for Her at Every Budget post, see here). But instead of putting out there yet another gifts idea post for someone else (I honestly cannot read another one without rolling my eyes), I thought I'd share what we, beauty & fashion bloggers most likely really want this Christmas.

1. More Make-Up

Let's get the obvious out of the way shall we? The Gwen Stefani Urban Decay palette is incredibly popular in the blogging community and despite containing many neutral shades we most likely already have in our stash, I am sure we have all thought of purchasing it anyway. That sensible voice in our head is telling us that we don't need it whilst the beauty blogger is screaming "gimme gimme"! Not to mention the Vice 4, the entire Charlotte Tilburty make-up collection as well as all of the gift sets make-up brands are doing this Christmas. MUST.RESIST. TEMPTATION.

2. More Things To Wear

When it comes to fashion my wishlist never ends. I must own about 14 pairs of boots, yet I am always drawn to a new pair that I simply "must" have. Not to mention, trying to keep up with all the amazing trends out there is not only expensive but also very space inefficient. For a minute let's imagine a world of endless supply of clothes, shoes, handbags and all sorts of accessories very neatly organised in a beautiful walk-in closet. Note to self: must get rich fast.

3. A Personal Photographer

Don't get me wrong, I love how helpful and willing my fiancé is when photographing me for the fashion part of Pam Scalfi. But more so than often, he has to work during weekends and I really struggle to get any outfit posts done without his help. It would be absolutely amazing to be able to afford having my very own personal photographer and be able to shoot anywhere, any time. A girl can dream, can't she?

4. Longer Daylight Hours

THIS! Snapping blog photos during the winter is absolutely the worst! Working full time means leaving the house before the sun is even up and getting home at dawn which results in a) dealing with poorly lit blog photos or b) taking photos in bulk during the weekend only to later realise they all look crap anyway. Lose lose situation really.

5. To Eat Like There's No Tomorrow...

...and not put on any weight this Christmas; this is by far the first on my list.  I envy those who are able to eat whatever they want and still have an amazing figure, unlike me who by simply looking at food adverts (yes I'm looking at you M&S) manages to puts on a few too many pounds. With so much food everywhere on Christmas Eve and Day and continuous going out to eat, this will be very challenging and let's face it, almost impossible.. Hello holiday weight gain, goodbye size 10 jeans!

What do you want this Christmas beauties? Let me know below!
Happy Friday and have a nice weekend ahead!

The Rose Gold Edit: Glossybox December 2015

I debated and debated whether this was a post that was going to make its way to the blog. Why you ask, well the Glossybox this month wasn't a great one. But beauty blogging isn't all about showing what is glamorous and great now is it. Truths and opinions are there to be shared and despite reading around that some actually really loved this box, I just don't see it.

Featuring 6 items, this box aims to get us ready for the end of year party season and was done in collab with beauty blogger Really Ree. And despite coming in a gorgeous rose gold box which I will be keeping for sure to store bits and bobs, I've got one question for Ree, really?

Etre Belle Golden Skin Caviar Eye Roll On | £30.66
I'm forever tired and sleepy thus my eyes are in desperate need of radiance. I've tried my fair share of eye roll-ons with all of them promising to soothe and hydrate delicate skin, and whilst some work and some really don't, I have yet to try this one to see if it lives up to its hefty price tag.

Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint | £7
Meet the pretty but very watery nail polish from Cheeky, a brand I had never heard of before forgive me. "Long-lasting, quick-drying and with a super glossy finish" are all adjectives chosen to describe this but say what?! Two coats barely gave enough coverage and I honestly do not see what is so festive about this shade. Pass.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser | £18
Despite being a skincare product (which we seem to get one of every month), this is one I can actually get on board with. I'm all up for something that removes make-up, dirt and oil as well as tones and hydrates the skin. It is apparently award-winning and my skin more than deserves it at the moment. Favourite goodie in the box by a mile!

So Susan Statement Skin Highlighter Pencil | £15
2 or 3 months back we had another So Susan highlighting pencil so not sure this was an ideal thing to add to this month's box because I've hardly touched it. But being a crazy highlighting addict, this is very pretty and will make strobing easier so I guess still worth having in my stash.

Essence Liquid Lipstick in Show Off | £2.50
Essence is a brand I want to try more of next year but this is one product I will steer clear of. Claiming to give the coverage of a lipstick with the shine of a gloss, I find this sticky and sheer. We want something long lasting and comfortable for Christmas, and this is not at all what I had in mind.

Starskin Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Mask | £8.50
This is an extra product in the box so I can't really complain much but £8 for a face mask is a bit much, no? Might come in handy after New Year's Eve festivities as it aims to pep up the skin and revive tired complexions, and I will take all the help I can get. Go hard or go home, am I right?!

What do you think of this box? Anything that catches your eye?
As I said before, my favourite is the cleanser and the mask isn't so bad either, oh and the actual cardboard box is gorgeous too. But overall, quite a disappointing box that will hardly get me in the party mode with thin nail polish and sticky lipgloss...*sigh*

Let me know what you think below beauties!
Thanks for reading as always and speak to you soon.

Soap & Glory It's The Whole She-Bang Christmas Gift Set

I recently spoke about Soap & Glory's Belle of the Ball gift set and after trying a handful of products for the first time ever (yes I've been living under a rock when it comes to S&G), I was ready for more. Enter the ultimate Christmas gift, the It's The Whole She-Bang Christmas Gift Set. I'm sure you've seen this on your Twitter or Instagram feed these past few days and rightfully so. These are selling like hot cakes and it is a no brainer really. Featuring 9 full-size (you read that right) yummy products for half the price they are actually worth, you'd be mad not to pick  up one (or maybe even 2) of these sets at the nearest Boots store.

Even though winter is fast approaching and showering becomes an ever so difficult task, these little beauties make it all better. Clean On Me Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel (£6.50) is bound to leave your skin feeling smooth and silky and given the size of the bottle, this stuff will also last you months! And, The Scrub of Your Life Smoothing Body Scrub (£7), with a combination of fresh bergamot and mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, oakmoss, amber and woody notes scents (phew that's a lot of different smells), is thick, foamy and refreshing, aka the perfect scrubbing experience.

Moisturising comes next and with The Righteous Butter (£10), which contains skin softening shea butter and aloe vera to lock in moisture, you will be on your way to nourished, non-greasy, wonderfully looking skin in no time! For tanning lovers, The Righteous Butter Sunkissed Tint Body Lotion (£8) is a must. A bronze tinted butter gel for instant colour and skin conditioning sounds amazing and despite being horrifically scared of tanning, pale winter skin may not be on my horizon for much longer.

Suffering from dry skin? No problem! I've raved and raved about Hand Food Hand Cream (£5.50) , it really is a godsend to keep your hands moisturised for longer without that horrid greasy feeling. And of course your feet deserve a little TLC too (I know mine do); Heel Genius Foot Cream (£5.50) is soak-in foot mask that smooths and softens while you sleep, aka the right recipe to sort my ogre feet out.

Admittedly, I've never been one to use cleansing lotions but Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk (£8) claims to work with all skin types and is a 4 in 1 deep cleanser aiming to purify and clarify, energise, smooth, and melt away make-up; which does sound ideal for a make-up lover such as myself! Given the reviews, this dries out the skin a little, so moisturising afterwards is a must. Can't wait to give this a proper try and let you all know more.

No S&G gift set would be perfect without a few of S&G most well-known make-up bits. The Thick & Fast HD Mascara High Definition Collagen Coat (£10.50) does what it says on the tin, the result are lengthened and thick lashes with just enough drama. And last but most certainly not least, Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Plumping Gloss (£9) in the shade Rose & Shine, is a lipgloss I can actually get on board with (I usually hate all lipglosses). This isn't sticky at all, and despite feeling a little tingly after application, my lips look fuller (not that I need that effect) and the colour is just right. Not a product I was looking forward to trying, but I am pleasantly surprised!

For only £30 (instead of the actual value £60), if you want to impress the women in your life, this is it! A gorgeous cosmetic case overflowing with 9 incredible toiletries is sure to be a hit this Christmas and the Soap & Glory new addict in me is already screaming to go get another, hello goodies...goodbye money.

Have you got yours yet? Will you? Let me know below!
Thanks for reading beauties and wishing us all a blessed week ahead!

A/W 2015/16 Trends: The Grey Trend + GIVEAWAY!

Black and white combos have been strong staples for fall for as long as we can remember, and whilst I love this combination I also have my eyes on the shades that come between them; greys. Will grey be replacing what used to be all-black or all-white outfits? I honestly think not, however grey makes sense and is easy to be styled. Being a neutral shade, consider grey your closet’s palette cleanser this season. And even though I am not ready to give up on my all-black ensembles just yet, I am more than open to start adding a dash of elegance, cool and class with this shade. There is something exceptionally refined about this colour, it’s timeless, effortless and adds a luxurious yet minimal hint to the whole look and I am all up for that. Easy but looks like I've made the effort, you know what I mean?!

Grey works well with most colours (yes even brown). I chose to pair it with a pop of colour like dark red and plum lips too because nothing says casual chic for the weekend like grey, jeans and a bit of red. The outcome is a rich but understated look and you know how much I adore the whole cape/blanked wrap tendency, so I simply had to add a bit of that too. What do you think?

Blanket Wrap: New Look (here) // Grey Turtleneck: Primark
Buckle Ankle Boots: New Look (similar here) // Grey Classic Satchel *: Bonprix (here)
Whichever way you choose to wear grey, as an all-grey look or just a grey item in your outfit, go for it! It’s not only trendy, but also very easy to style, classy and chic!
