Wow, two weeks off from this little space felt like an eternity. It was however much needed time off considering the number of things I was juggling but I am back and so so happy and to be bringing you one of my favourite posts to write, a Glossybox* review! I try to make these as a light read as possible and I hope you too enjoy reading them. Now, September is one of those gloomy months where we go back to school, uni or work after an amazing summer away and Glossybox, anticipating this, has put together a curated edit to help us get prepped and organised, and I am all for that. Let's see how they did, shall we?

Limited Edition Glossybox: Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo Collab
When this arrived I asked myself, another Glossybox so soon! But then I realised we were talking about something extra, but nonetheless very exciting! You may have heard of Karl Lagerfeld, a well-known fashion designer, well...he paired up with the very popular Aussie brand ModelCo to bring us a new exciting and limited edition beauty collection. Claiming to contain every handbag essential from lips and eyes to blush and a tool to accompany, I was excited to see what was inside the very sleek and cool black box (and it did not disappoint!). I love it when Glossybox gets involved in such amazing collabs, as it allows us to try a bunch of products at a fraction of their retail price, and that is exactly what you get with this box! All Things Nostalgia: Glossybox April 2018
Look who has made a comeback on Pam Scalfi, the Glossybox! Glossybox has been a household name for a couple of years now; I last reviewed a box back in December 2015 and after 2 years and a bit, I am super excited to see what has changed and of course, all the goodies that come within it! Funnily enough, this box was designed to take us back and is dedicated to all things nostalgia (and I am definitely feeling those vibes). Inspired by generations past, yet bringing fresh twists on old classics, this box gives you staple beauty products for recreating iconic looks from the 60s, 70s, 80s or even the 90s (what a "rad" idea...what's that 90s enough?!). With 5 full-sized items, as soon as the box landed on my doorstep I was ready to dig in and now let me share with you what I think. Keep on reading if you are ready for a throwback like I am!

The Rose Gold Edit: Glossybox December 2015
I debated and debated whether this was a post that was going to make its way to the blog. Why you ask, well the Glossybox this month wasn't a great one. But beauty blogging isn't all about showing what is glamorous and great now is it. Truths and opinions are there to be shared and despite reading around that some actually really loved this box, I just don't see it.
Featuring 6 items, this box aims to get us ready for the end of year party season and was done in collab with beauty blogger Really Ree. And despite coming in a gorgeous rose gold box which I will be keeping for sure to store bits and bobs, I've got one question for Ree, really?
I'm forever tired and sleepy thus my eyes are in desperate need of radiance. I've tried my fair share of eye roll-ons with all of them promising to soothe and hydrate delicate skin, and whilst some work and some really don't, I have yet to try this one to see if it lives up to its hefty price tag.
Meet the pretty but very watery nail polish from Cheeky, a brand I had never heard of before forgive me. "Long-lasting, quick-drying and with a super glossy finish" are all adjectives chosen to describe this but say what?! Two coats barely gave enough coverage and I honestly do not see what is so festive about this shade. Pass.
Despite being a skincare product (which we seem to get one of every month), this is one I can actually get on board with. I'm all up for something that removes make-up, dirt and oil as well as tones and hydrates the skin. It is apparently award-winning and my skin more than deserves it at the moment. Favourite goodie in the box by a mile!
2 or 3 months back we had another So Susan highlighting pencil so not sure this was an ideal thing to add to this month's box because I've hardly touched it. But being a crazy highlighting addict, this is very pretty and will make strobing easier so I guess still worth having in my stash.
Essence is a brand I want to try more of next year but this is one product I will steer clear of. Claiming to give the coverage of a lipstick with the shine of a gloss, I find this sticky and sheer. We want something long lasting and comfortable for Christmas, and this is not at all what I had in mind.
Starskin Bio-Cellulose Second Skin Mask | £8.50
This is an extra product in the box so I can't really complain much but £8 for a face mask is a bit much, no? Might come in handy after New Year's Eve festivities as it aims to pep up the skin and revive tired complexions, and I will take all the help I can get. Go hard or go home, am I right?!
What do you think of this box? Anything that catches your eye?
As I said before, my favourite is the cleanser and the mask isn't so bad either, oh and the actual cardboard box is gorgeous too. But overall, quite a disappointing box that will hardly get me in the party mode with thin nail polish and sticky lipgloss...*sigh*
Let me know what you think below beauties!
Thanks for reading as always and speak to you soon.

Lipsticks to Lashes: GlossyBox November 2015 + Gold & Plum Make-Up Look
Another month, another Glossybox! For some reason, despite looking forward to receiving these boxes at the beginning of every month, sometimes I am not too keen on writing about them. Frankly, not too sure if it’s something interesting for those who aren't subscribers. This month however, I thought I’d do something a little different and kick things up a bit. Given this box aims to take us from “Lipstick to Lashes”, it was more than appropriate for me to continue with my make-up tutorials here on the blog (see my first one here). I used the natural eyeshadow palette, the berry lipstick, fake eyelashes and primer (all contents of this month’s box) and created a fall ready look that is so easy to recreate and to wear right through this season. Keep reading to find out more!
Royal Apothic Body Lotion | £14.50
We seem to get a lot of body lotions in these monthly boxes which may annoy some, but this little guy came at the right time for me. My skin suffers pretty badly during the winter being naturally dry, so body lotion must always be in stock on my bathroom shelf. Given this contains lactic acid which exfoliates the skin, allowing more moisture through to the new skin below; I am already on my way to smooth, hydrated and super soft skin.
Emite Diamond Heart Primer | £25.90
A tad pricey for a primer if you ask me, but I have noticed that this really does make up for a great base. It is extremely lightweight which makes prepping the skin super easy and fast (I hate those primers that take a lifetime to dry). I have found that it smooths my skin and pores rather well, not better than my all-time favourite POREfessional but not half bad either.
MUA 12 Shade Undressed Eyeshadow Palette | £4
My first ever MUA product to try and I am impressed! Did I need a new palette? No. But I am glad they included this in because it makes for a great day-to-day product. I am stingy when it comes to using the good stuff, so instead of wasting my Nakeds on my work make-up, I will pick this up instead and be able to create both day and night looks thanks to the nude and metallic colours. The shades are pigmented and despite having a little fall-out, for the price tag one cannot complain.
Eylure Natural Lashes | £5
I recently spoke about how fake lashes are a nightmare to get right, so I am glad to report that these went on sooo easily! I actually managed to glue them first time round thanks my new DUO glue (which is awesome but stinks so bad!). Keep reading to see how they look on but in a nutshell: very natural looking.
Revlon Super Lustrous Black Cherry Lipstick | £7.99
Back in October we were asked to choose 1 out of 4 shades and I of course went with the darkest one, just because. Black Cherry is a lovely deep plum colour. The lipstick is infused with vitamin E and avocado oil which feels very hydrating and glides on easily. It isn't totally opaque, so a few coats were needed to achieve the look below and I find that the colour on the bullet is very deceiving but a nice colour to add to my make-up collection nonetheless.
And here’s my make-up look created using all (bar the body lotion obvs) goodies above. On my face I started with the Emite primer, applied the L’oreal Infallible foundation followed by the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer. Sealed all of it with my NYX Mattifying powder and contoured using my beloved (and very much used) Sleek Face Contour.
Eyes were created using the Mary Kay eyeshadow primer as a base followed by the MUA palette. On my crease I have shade Hazel (the only matte shade in the palette) blended all across; on my outer corners I applied Bronze Ore and Lion all over my lid. I finished off with Puff under my brow bone and the inner corners of the eyes to highlight. I lined my eyes with my favourite Collection gel liner, glued the Eylure lashes and finished off with a coat of the Roller Lash mascara by Benefit. I am also wearing the Dip Brow Pomade from ABH in Medium Brown which is a new favourite!
And finally on my lips I have Black Cherry, this super gorgeous yet extremely hydrating lipstick from Revlon which is my first one from the brand. It is patchy as you can see but it doesn't bother me too much as it can be worn sheerly as a stain or fully for a more opaque look. Ah, and if you want to read more about all of these products, just make sure you click on the links for more detailed reviews I've done in the past here on the blog.
So this is this month’s box and the look I came up with using its contents. Admittedly, not my favourite but Glossybox has really stepped their game these past few months and I can't wait to see what is yet to come! On other news, sadly I did not manage to get me a NARS Glossybox yesterday (I was too busy at work and it was sold out in 27 minutes!!!!) but am looking forward to the December one already. It is called Rose Gold Collector’s Edition and you will agree with me that it sounds pretty promising. Fingers crossed!
Thank you for reading beauties and let me know what you think below!

GlossyBoxUK October 2015
I have honestly lost track of time and I didn't even realise this box was due. Perhaps because I was still enjoying last month's goodies or perhaps because the year is literally flying by, who knows. All I do know is that I was genuinely impressed by its contents; 5 full-size products to make dark afternoons and cold days a little brighter?! Yes please!
Talika Photo-Hydra Day | £24.85
Shown to us in a sneak peak in last month's box, this was the product I was really looking forward to. It claims to hydrate as well as prime the skin and I can vouch for that. I've used it twice now, applying in the morning following my toner and before the primer, and I am impressed at how quickly it is absorbed by the skin. It has kept my make-up for longer (in day 1 of trial) and I have noticed less shine in my t-zone for sure. Not entirely sure if this is the reason or if my current day cream just really sucks, but I am surprised at how this has worked so far and am eager to see how it will help as the months get colder, and as a result, the skin gets drier.
Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Curl Mascara | £17.95
Claiming to leave lashes with dramatic volume and definition, I am not sure if I am doing something wrong here. Yes it is 100% cruelty-free and yes it has a unique (but weird) wand, but volume was nowhere near to be found. I know this sounds harsh, and maybe it is, especially as I have already found my favourite mascara of all time. But honestly, this just didn't it do it for me and I will be passing it forward. For the price you pay, you are better off getting 2 Maybelline mascaras if you ask me.
Lanolips 101 Ointment | £7.99
This multi award winning and multi-purpose ointment with 100% naturally derived ingredients is greatly raved on the internet and given my Lollipops Lip Balm Délicieuse has almost run out, I am glad to see a replacement in this month's box. When applied to my rather dry lips (thanks wind!), I loved how soften they felt for hours. This stuff is match made in heaven for chapped lips and I will give it a try on my cuticles and around my nose too; didn't I say this was multi-purpose?! Say goodbye to winter dry lips and skin, thanks to this little guy!
So Susan Haute Light Highlighting Pencil | £14.95
At first glance, I wasn't too sure what this was, but a tutorial or two after, I was excited. Like the ointment, this can be used in various ways; highlight the brow bone, down the nose bridge, cupid's bow and to mask dark circles. On my circles it worked really well and I like how it gave my face that boost of clarity and radiance that it so desperately needs. Made with White Truffle extract & Eyeseryl® peptide, this crayon aims to diminish eyebags and increase skin elasticity; I am eager to keep using and see how that turns out. Being cruelty, parabens and mineral oil free, this pencil makes the perfect highlighting tool and despite the high price for such a tiny thing, it is worth every penny.
We are all familiar with Beauty Blenders and despite having two, I wanted something a little more defined and contoured to yield flawless application. Regardless of it being in an odd dome shape, I have found that it really does help apply foundation around the nose and inner corners of the eyes. , This works with other liquid products too and it has to be number two favourite of the box.
And speaking of make-up goodies, have you heard that Glossybox has partnered up with NARS to bring the first ever NARS beauty box? Meet the Limited Edition NARS GlossyBox.
