Limited Edition Glossybox: Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo Collab

When this arrived I asked myself, another Glossybox so soon! But then I realised we were talking about something extra, but nonetheless very exciting! You may have heard of Karl Lagerfeld, a well-known fashion designer, well...he paired up with the very popular Aussie brand ModelCo to bring us a new exciting and limited edition beauty collection. Claiming to contain every handbag essential from lips and eyes to blush and a tool to accompany, I was excited to see what was inside the very sleek and cool black box (and it did not disappoint!). I love it when Glossybox gets involved in such amazing collabs, as it allows us to try a bunch of products at a fraction of their retail price, and that is exactly what you get with this box! KARL LAGERFELD + MODELCO LIP COUTURE LIPSTICK RED (Deluxe Mini) | £20

Y'all know how much I love a good red lipstick and needless to say, I am hooked. This matte red lippie provides full coverage, long-lasting and highly pigmented lip look according to Glossybox, and after a few swatches, I can really vouch for that! Despite being matte, the lipstick feels creamy and nourishing and it glided on effortlessly, which is the kind of finish I like my matte lipsticks to have. And even though it is only a mini, I know this will be a go-to for me this summer when I want that pop of colour to create saturated and sumptuous lips!

KARL LAGERFELD + MODELCO LIP LINER RED (Full-size) | £21

Funnily enough, this doesn't match the lipstick colour as it claims to do which I would have preferred personally, but it is still a very pretty shade and one can never have too many lip liners. Similar to the lip colour, this glides on easily and it feels also very creamy. All in all, a great liner to enhance and define your pout!

KARL LAGERFELD + MODELCO LONG-LASTING LIQUID LINER (Full-size) | £21

A water-resistant liquid liner is what was missing from my beauty collection, and a godsend for these very hot days we're currently having. The angled felt-tip applicator looked unusual at first, but when I tried it I realized that the shape really helps to create cat eye look. I'm wearing it today for a whole day of work, so let's see how it holds up throughout the day and I will report back. For now, I can say that it feels easy to apply, it is indeed super fine and I like the precision and the different kinds of lines you can create, as per my swatch (one swipe for each only!).

Going back to lips, let's talk about this pretty nude lip gloss. If you guys have read my blog for a while you will know that lip glosses have never been my go-to lip kind of products. I don't know what it is, but the wet feeling and the stickiness just never feel right on me. And although the colour is very me (hello, nude lover right here) and it delivers a burst of highly pigmented colour, I am sure my mom will get much more use out of it than me, so here mommy a present for you! 

KARL LAGERFELD + MODELCO BAKED BLUSH ROSE PINK (Full-size) | £31

I reviewed its brother here (shade Light Beige, Glossybox April 2018) and given how much I liked that blush and wear it on most days, I knew I was in for a treat with this one too! I am loving wearing 2-in-1 kind of blushers, and this is perfect for just that. This baked blush creates a warm glow to brighten and highlight the complexion. It gives a sheer and natural radiance which just screams summer. A tad overpriced for a blush, I'm not going to lie, but boy am I glad it has been included in this box and thus giving me a chance to try it!

KARL LAGERFELD + MODELCO BLUSH BRUSH (Full-size) | £22

I've said it before and I will say it again, I LOVE receiving make-up brushes especially when it looks so good like this one! It is extremely soft and despite being called a blush brush, I know for sure this will be my newest multitasking brush. I'm talking applying blush, bronzer, highlighter and even powder with this baby!
