Winter 2016 Fashion Trends: Leopard Print Coat & Western Boots

Am I glad to see Leopard Print back in the fashion scene! I've had this coat for as long as I can remember, and I've always been put a little off from wearing. The print is loud and the colours are on the bold side, however, it is so warm I was willing to look past all of that and take it out for a day in central London. How freaking cold and windy was this weekend!

When it comes to this animal print trend which I've explored more here and here, keeping the rest of the outfit minimal is key. When going for a loud print, unless you really wish to make-up a statement (which almost always doesn't turn out to be a good idea, let's be honest), you are better off going for alike tones as well as all black/white/etc ensembles. Which is exactly what I've done here. Imagine I paired this with blue denim jeans, a colourful pair of shoes and a band t-shirt; the whole thing would have been a hot mess with way too much information. I'm not saying one of these items when used solely alongside the leopard print don't work, what I mean is that less is more when trying the trend. That is why I, personally like mixing less colours and instead choose cool accessories such as these western boots I am currently in love with.

Chloé's Susanna stud ankle boots have been in the spotlight for a good few years now and thanks to various alike versions in the high street, I now own a dupe! Of course, it's not an exact dupe given there are no studs but I kind it like that way (remember the less is more motto?). Whilst these Western Boots aren't on the comfy side, I love the buckles detailing and how retro it instantly makes any look. I wore these to #Bloggersxmas party last month and they were a hit in that photo I posted on Instagram. Needless to say, I've been wearing them non-stop and I welcome them to my beloved boots collection, which I am happy (and a little worried) to report has grown quite a bit these past few months. Overall, put leopard print and western boots together, and I am ready to time travel to the 80s!
