Yoga at the Shard sounds fancy, right? Add a banging breakfast with the lovely Farfetch crew to the equation to celebrate the launch of new luxury workout wear specialist boutiques (Bandier US and Mode Sportif), and you've got yourself an unforgettable start of the day. And this is exactly how my Thursday last week commenced. Obviously, I was over the moon to receive an invitation to their biggest (and poshest) blogger event of the season; a mix of exercise followed by some yummy food, at the Shard may I add, sounded too good to pass.
The day started early given we had to be there at 8am sharp and when we got to the 72nd floor (those Shard elevators are seriously fast!) we were all taken aback by the gorgeous views of London. Despite the best view of the City being a few floors below us, the scenery was just too stunning and even with a little rain and grey cloud, London looked flawless from high above.
The yoga class was led by Yogasphere and whilst I hadn't heard of them before, I am now officially a fan! The instructor, Leo Lourdes, was patient, funny and made sure we were doing the movements correctly throughout the entire workout. I must say, I had done yoga a few times before but nothing as good as this. The class was the perfect amount of relaxing yet also challenging and even though some poses were harder to master, "visualising it" as the instructor put, really did help. Overall, the environment was friendly (something we bloggers really appreciate given these sort of events can be a tiny bit awkward if we don't know many people) and we were left energised and ready to start our day after an invigorating yoga session.
Next on the agenda was breakfast at the beautiful Shangri-La Hotel and by the time we got there, our appetite was pretty heightened and we were ready to dig in. Thankfully, after such a great workout, the food we were presented with was on the healthy side which was a huge plus and made all the difference. The variety of food included fruit, organic yogurts, cereal bars, eggs and salmon; told you everything was healthy. Everything did not just look beautiful but it was delicious too and with the waiters as well as the lovely girls at Farfetch being so attentive, breakfast time couldn't have been more enjoyable.
Whilst we sat sipping our coffee and eyeing up what we were going to try next, we heard all about the major catwalk Fall Trends Farfetch expect to take over next season. Puffa jackets, ruffles and frills, and velvet to name a few, are the ones to look out for which were all huge last fall but are definitely making a comeback later this year, only this time bigger and better. I'm sure I will be talking about each trend as they come because I genuinely love each one and I must say I'm excited to wear them (but first let me go on holiday and enjoy a little bit of summer).
All in all, I must say hats off the girls behind the event. You could tell everything was planned to perfection with all details ironed out to ensure a smooth run throughout the entire morning. And of course, thanks again to Farfetch for the invitation and the gorgeous bits and bobs in the goodie bag! I can't wait to see what the future holds (and for my cheeky order from their website to arrive).
Tell me, have you been to any blogger's event recently? Shopped at Farfetch before?
Let me know all about it below! As always, thanks for reading beauties and wishing us all a good end of the week
and a wonderfully sunny (one can dream) weekend ahead!
xoxo
