S/S 2016 Trends: Stripes T-Shirt Dress & All-White Sneakers

I am back with STRIPES and I know what you're thinking, yes I've been wearing them non-stop ever since spring showed up! I've talked about this trend here, here and here so I won't go much into detail but all I will say is that stripes pretty much go with anything in my wardrobe at the moment; they're easy, versatile and timeless! Stripes look seriously stylish in a casual midi dress and that's the look I chose for today. 

The STRIPES T-SHIRT DRESS is probably one of most flexible dress style ever. It fits every body type and you can even transform a dress into two completely different outfits, by simply changing the shoes and accessories. My go-to-look on weekends and casual Fridays has been the this dress which works well for lazy office hours when sneakers and flats are okay and for weekend outings when I want nothing but comfort. They are everywhere and you can hardly refresh your Instagram feed without the image of a flawlessly styled woman wearing one coming up. These dresses work for both spring and summer and can be worn with ankle boots or high heels, flats or trainers, and whether it’s light knit or jersey I find myself wearing them on repeat. An effortless and versatile wardrobe addition, teamed with sandals and straw hat or vertiginous heels and a bomber and you've got yourself the perfect summer piece. 

Now put together a casual midi dress as comfy as this one and a pair of ALL-WHITE SNEAKERS and you have found the way to my heart. This shoe trend reigned supreme last year, and just like the dress style, they've been everywhere. These past few seasons, the trend cropped up on everyone and I think the relaunch of the Adidas Stan Smiths definitely had something to do with it. Fashion A-listers like the Jenner sisters, Gigi Hadid, Jessica Alba amongst others, have all shown us that this trend isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The appeal is pretty obvious; they work with pretty much anything and are comfy as! I've actually recently added another pair to my collection and I'm sure I won't be stopping there. Wear them with dresses on the way to the office, with boyfriend jeans on the weekends, with denim skirts or culottes for the ultimate chic look of the season. It's undeniable; the white sneaker has become a unanimously chic piece and really is the complementary addition to any get-up.
