Pearl Embellishments are a Hit This Autumn

Forget diamonds, pearls are a girl's best friends this fall! This season, pearls aren't just for the ladies who lunch but instead, have had a makeover to make them more contemporary cool. When we think of pearls, we instantly think of necklaces and earrings, so generally jewellery, but this season it is all about pearl embellishments on clothing, accessories and even footwear. Autumn Winter 2017 runways saw pearls beautify all kinds of attire, from designers such as Ellery to Huishan Zhang. And as with any trend, it has not wasted any time in hitting our favourite high street shops. From pearly shirts at Mango to gorgeous red patent pearl boots from Kurt Geiger, pearls are a hit this autumn and here is how I styled this trend!

BLACK PEARL EMBELLISHED JUMPER

I had been on the hunt for a pearly jumper ever since I saw one in Zara. I couldn't justify its price for a jumper (£29.99 if you're curious) so instead, I went to good ol' TK Maxx and managed to find this for only £14.99. It is from a brand called Wild Flower, which I had never heard of, but the material is incredibly soft and the quality is outstanding. I've washed it once already and all pearls are intact, which was one of my worries with a piece like this. I got this in a size M, you can see is quite figure hugging which I like that but if you're more a slouchy fit kinda girl, sizing up is always a good way to go. I haven't found this exact offering on their website, although I did see it in stores (in the City) last week. I did manage to find one QED London which is very similar, with the same price tag and I will link it down below.

APRIL SUPER SKINNY RIPPED JEANS 

I don't know why I waste my time looking for jeans elsewhere when the best ones (for my figure) are from Matalan! If you follow me on Insta Stories, you would have seen me often complain about denim sizing across different stores. I bought a size 10 Primark pair and I kid you not, I could fit another person in them. That doesn't mean I don't like them because there are days when I don't feel like anything cutting my circulation and definitely want something on the loose side. But with outfits like this, a super skinny jean was called for! These are from their new April range which I must say is pretty amazing, and for only £16 they are super great quality, stretchy in the right parts and a size 8, which fits me perfectly.

HEELED LACE-UP BOOTS

I've styled these before here, and I found them on a website called Love the Sales, which puts together all the best sales out there. They are from Forever 21 and my favourite pair of boots I currently own and I can see myself wearing them on repeat this season. 

GEOMETRIC COLOUR BLOCK BAG

Now onto the most fun part of the outfit, this bag which I fell in love with as soon as I saw it! Understandably the strap may not be for everyone but that is what I loved most about it; it makes for a fun pop of colour this season, plus yellow/mustard is SO in at the moment. The bag is from China, so obviously not the greatest quality but it looks good enough to compliment this outfit.
