S/S 2016 Trends: The Hottest Shoes for This Season

If there is anything I love more than make-up, that thing is buying a new pair of shoes (and bags, and accessories, and clothes...)! I can have one pair of jeans but with multiple pairs of shoes I can totally make the same outfit work in various different ways, and that my friends is the power of a good pair of shoes. This season, we have already been seeing lots of trends come up; it's undeniable that lace-ups are hotter than ever, as are cute sneakers (both of which I have styled recently here and here). But there are also a few other latest shoe trends making their way down catwalks all over and I thought I'd share my current favourite pairs from each trend (aka my never ending wishlist). From bold prints to block heels, move over boots and make space for cute, spring perfect shoes!

PRINTS

In my book, anything with a good print is perfect to add that extra touch to an outfit! A bold patterned shoe can really make you stand out from the crowd and when paired with printed clothes, we are looking at a doubly bold statement look that is fierce, on point and summer ready! Ladies Sandals are the easiest when it comes to pulling off these prints and the options out there are gorgeous. My personal favs are Ted Baker for anything flowery, a bit of animal print that fails to get old and I even threw in a pair of Birkenstock Sandals in this list because yes I can look good and on trend whilst still being comfy.

BLOCK HEELS

This is one trend I am happy to see making this list because I am all about comfort and stilettos aren't cutting it for me anymore! Your shoe game can easily be elevated by going for a chunky heel and let's be honest, they are not only a lot more comfy (whatever their height), they look so.damn.good!

RAFFIA SANDALS

I LOVE raffia sandals; there is something about them that remind me of home (Brazil), and of course natural fabrics are exceptionally hot at the minute so for me, summer will be going hand in hand with these beauties! Pair them with a cute summer dress and you are ready for the sun.

COWBOY BOOTS

I know I said move over boots, but what I meant was move over Chelsea boots, because we have a new winner on the block. Not only are these incredibly cool, they are your festival must have for the ultimate Coachella vibe. Think suede and fringes and you've got yourself the ultimate cowgirl look.
