Make-up and exercise are two of those things you never really put together as they are far from a match made in heaven. Having said that, with a crazy amount of products available in the market today, all designed with game-changing and innovative formulas there is no need to exercise and not look good at the same time. If you feel comfortable in doing so without a drop of foundation, then good for you! I really wish I had the same confidence as you. But truth be told, I rarely hit the gym barefaced as I simply don’t feel comfortable in doing that and that is why I've tried my fair share of products and I can vouch for what really works. From budge-proof mascara to a very long lasting base, these make-up products I'm about to share my opinion on have been put to the test and have stayed put through sweat, tears and pretty much anything else gym related. I'm not talking about doing a full face of make-up here, but a little something here and there never hurt nobody.
L'Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Foundation | £7.99
This foundation was fully reviewed here before and it is by far my favourite choice when exercising. It gives me full and matte coverage and doesn't look cakey or patchy after a few hours of sweating. It is waterproof and steamproof which is not only great for rainy days but also amazing for when you’re kicking butt at the gym. I find it to be a breathable foundation despite being heavy coverage.
L'Oreal Paris Infallible Powder Compact | £4.99
I've used this wet as a foundation and dry on top of the Infallible foundation and together they are invincible. It sets foundation, concealer and pretty much anything else extremely well, doesn't look cakey or like I overdid it. I love how it gets rid of any shine on my t-zone and gives my skin a flawless non-makeup finish.
L'Oreal Paris Infallible Fixing Mist | £7.99
This range is really kicking ass and I promise I'm not being paid to write all this, I genuinely love this trio. The first ever finishing spray by L’Oreal is anti-melt, anti-fade and anti-crack; what more could you want?! Despite having loads of white powder chunks sprayed out the first time I used it, after shaking it well, it kept everything in its place with no creasing or fading. This is a refreshing mist that I am happy to use instead of the Urban Decay All Nighter which costs a lot more.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade | £15
Wiping out your brows is simply not possible with this little beauty. I'm sure you've heard tons about this product so I will keep it short; it’s smooth, pigmented and waterproof aka everything you need to up your brow game and make sure they stay put through sweat.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara |£7.99
It’s no secret I love this mascara, original and waterproof (and even I compared the two here). This mascara not only delivers defined and volumized lashes, it also does not clump, flake or smudge. Maybelline does not mess around when they say this stuff is waterproof, it really is not! You will need a good oil-based make-up remover to remove it completely; whether you’re going for a swim or taking a spinning class, this will be your best friend!
NickaK 24H Waterproof Eyeliner | $5.99
A newer addition to my make-up stash and I'm already loving it. The colour payoff is dramatic and intense; its waterproof formula makes it budge-proof and despite being brown, when added to my upper lash line the result is even more volumized lashes.
Jo Malone Vitamin E Lip Conditioner | £23
Air conditioning is my worst enemy when it comes to dry lips. I'm not one for wearing lipsticks to the gym, but a lip balm is essential and this is perfect! This softens, smoothes and cares for my dry lips and vitamin E helps defend them from damaging effects of the gym environment. Its price tag isn’t pretty but I find it well worth the rather expensive price for a lip balm.
