As a lover of a good bargain, it is no surprise that I am all up for featuring affordable yet great quality make-up here on Pam Scalfi. Imagine my excitement when Collection expanded their portfolio to include a whole new range of products. It isn’t the first time that I talk about their products; remember their Uncovered Nude Palettes? Those were and still are favourites of mine, so I knew I was in for a treat when I saw the new #FaceYourDay & #BlushAndGlow palettes available at my local drugstore. Offering wearable tones and compacting various products in only one palette, these are already hugely popular (I managed to pick up the last few left) and I can totally see why! Affordable, pretty and perfect for on-the-go, what else do you really need in a palette?
The #BlushAndGlow (£4.99) quad brings together beautiful bronzing and blusher shades and a highlighter as an added bonus. The blush shades are perfect to add a little colour to the cheeks and you can choose between a matte and a shimmering one. The bronzer, also matte, works well on my pale Brazilian complexion and the neutral highlighter adds a delicate shimmer to the cheekbones. These super soft powders are easy to apply and blend effortlessly; the result is flawless cheekbones and a radiant and healthy complexion.
The #FaceTheDay (£6.99) has the best of both worlds, these worlds being contouring and a mix of eyeshadows. Including a bronzer, blush and highlighter as well as a collection of warm eyeshadows, this will easily take you from day to night, allowing you to create various make-up looks with a single palette. It is the ideal palette to have in your handbag as it covers all bases, is space-efficient and you won’t need to take separate bits to be able to do your make-up on-the-go. Despite the bronzer being a tad too orange for my skintone, I have found that it works well as a transition eyeshadow shade meaning I will get use out of all of these products which is not something I usually say about sets like these!
Collection really and truly does keep bargain beauty at its best. The cardboard packaging isn't the most luxurious, I will give you that. Instead, Collection chooses to focus on having great product in the pans inside, and that is exactly what you will get with these. Shades are pigmented, buttery, soft, blendable and buildable. I do wonder sometimes how I can justify paying anything over £30 on a make-up palette; Collection makes me rethink all of that with these super affordable goodies. I adore these and they already have a well-deserved spot in my dressing table.
Check out the entire new collection at Boots with prices starting from as little as £3.99.
