I wake up and I'm instantly drawn to open my weather app. I know what it will tell me but one can only hope for an early spring, am I right?! Having said that, winter fashion is my favourite by far. Whilst it is not favourite to shoot blog photos in, I love dressing in big chunky knits, all the pretty boots I can totally justify buying as well as taking out my coat selection out for a spin (although I always end up wearing the same one all week...go figure). Which is why when Bows Boutiquess invited me to check out their New In winter range I couldn't type a reply fast enough. I had seen the store name come up on my Facebook feed, on those adverts, and I remember loving those big furry coats the models were always sporting. I, of course, never pass a good chance to add winter pieces to my wardrobe and narrowing down to what I wanted from the huge selection was sure tough, but I got there in the end! I thought to myself, what is a fail-safe winter look that is me and perfect for this sort of weather. With that in mind, in my basket it went a chunky knit jumper, a cosy (and waterproof may I add) jacket with faux fur and suedette OTK boots, because one can never have too many pairs o those. I told I am obsessed with these pairings.
With wedding errands ahead of us throughout the day, I knew I needed something comfy, warm and waterproof given the latest weather conditions. I don't know about you but jeans, knits and a jacket or a coat are pretty much my daily go-to. I have accumulated a fair amount of knits over the past few winters and whilst there are a few favourites of mine in that collection already, I am glad to be adding this Raynie Choker Knit Jumper* to that list. Chokers in general, have been on a high since summer 2016 and I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon. Instead of wearing off shoulders and a choker we loved during the hotter days, someone cleverly transitioned the trend into winter, in gorgeous jumpers such as this one. I picked it up in grey because I'm really loving monochrome and minimalist looks lately and mixing grey with black is tough to get wrong.
Onto the boots, I'm obsessed with them all, period. Now put together booties and the OTK style and you have found your way into my heart. When I saw the Evie Suedette Over The Knee Boots*, I thought they would have been the perfect pair to add to my ever growing boots range. Being black and flat makes them incredibly versatile and comfortable to wear the entire day. Only minor downside is the fact that they end up falling as I walk (which is true to most of my otk anyways). I have to tie them pretty firmly and every once in a while pull them up. This can get pretty annoying especially if you're walking long lengths to get to work like I am, so if I want to wear them, I usually just take them in a separate bag and put them on once I get there. Other than that, I know I will be wearing this a lot in the winter months ahead.
I've left the best for last and this Noel Quilted Faux Fur Hooded Coat* has seriously come at the perfect time. Firstly, how beautifully made is this?! It is very similarly designed to a Zara offering but obviously at a more affordable price tag, which I cannot say no to. The jacket is quilted making it my ideal companion for the near polar weather. The faux fur hood and zip details add glam to the design, perfect for everyday with jeans and boots. Puffa jackets were seen all over the catwalks from the likes of Louis Vitton and Balenciaga so they have made a chic comeback this season! I wore it with jeans for a pretty casual look, but why not try pairing something similar with evening wear and for a fresh and unpredicted pairing.
